This collection of oversized Barro Preto vases is a homage to the artisan’s skills, hand-pressed to introduce captivating deformations to the cylindrical form. A collaborative effort with craftsman António Marques resulted in redefining “hand-formed,” yielding a unique technique where each piece is one of a kind. The graphite look finish of Barro Preto captures light, sculpting a captivating dark silhouette—a connection between ancient craftsmanship and contemporary design.
